As we come to the end of July, it is hard to believe there are just 2 more weeks of SPARKS Summer Camp. We have had an amazing summer with children in our community and are really excited for the final field trips and activities planned before school starts.
Youth at Creekside Village Community Center and Sacramento Neighborhood Center (SNC) have exercised their brains by doing lots of STEAM and creative activities. Earlier this month, SNC had the kids showing off their creativity by making robot hands and an “Apple Juice and Paint Event.”
They have been on the go to places like Sky Zone, Pirates Cove, and the Smithsonian’s National Zoo. The youth at SNC had a great time interacting and seeing various animals at Roer’s Zoofari and the Creekside youth enjoyed a show at Wolf Trap’s Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods.
United Community would not be able to provide an incredible summer to these children without the generous gifts to our programs. Thank you to everyone who has helped make SPARKS Summer Camp possible for these youth in our community.
