THRIVE program continues to help adults become workforce ready!
United Community’s Sacramento Neighborhood Center (SNC) held a graduation brunch last week to honor this round’s THRIVE participants for their hard work and dedication to gaining new skills. SNC developed THRIVE (Together Helping Reintroduce Individuals to Valuable Education) as a 10-week course to help adults develop computer skills, engage in health and wellness activities, and become more workforce ready.
Family members, past THRIVE graduates, and United Community team members were in attendance to hear how THRIVE has made a difference for each of the graduates.
Alfredo is a new graduate who received one-on-one assistance to build a website for his company. Heidi is another new graduate who came to every single class once she found THRIVE. Heidi plans to volunteer with United Community and bring services like this to her community.
SNC will be hosting another round of THRIVE courses in April. Contact Niema Knight to sign up and learn more.
