How We Support Neighbors at Every Level

At United Community, we know that lasting change happens when every part of life is supported. That’s why we follow the Socio-Ecological Model, a framework that ensures every neighbor we serve receives support that meets their needs today while building stability for tomorrow.

The model recognizes the many factors that shape a person’s journey:

By addressing barriers at all five levels, we help empower lasting confidence, dignity, and self-sufficiency, leading to a stronger, more resilient community.

Fulfilling community needs by fulfilling community purpose.

Food & Nutrition

No one should have to choose between paying bills and putting healthy food.

Access to nutritious, culturally familiar food is the foundation for health and stability. From weekly groceries to school-based family markets, we ensure no neighbor has to choose between paying bills and eating well.

Programs: Cynthia Hull Food Pantry · Seasonal Family Food Market on the table.

Immigration, Legal, & Adult Education Programs

Language and legal barriers shouldn’t stand in the way of opportunity. Through the Progreso Literacy & Citizenship Center and ESL programs, we help neighbors build English fluency, prepare for citizenship, and gain the confidence to thrive in our community.
