Genette Comfort is a nonprofit executive with over 15 years of experience in organizational management, philanthropy, and strategic partnerships. 

She has served as Chief Development Professional for organizations such as the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington, NeighborWorks America, INROADS, and the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation.

With expertise in youth development, housing, diversity, education, and human services, Ms. Comfort has led fundraising initiatives resulting in over $360 million in philanthropic support for communities in need. She is skilled in creating inclusive teams, building strong relationships with donors, and implementing strategies that drive growth. Her background includes working in corporate publishing and communications for Gannett, Inc. and USA Today.

A Certified Fundraising Manager (CFRM), Ms. Comfort holds a Bachelor of Arts and an MBA from Trinity Washington University.
